First WEXHE meeting in Groningen: Highlights

The long-awaited meeting for the WEXHE project was hosted by the University of Groningen last week, on 24-25 March 2017 with the participation of 16 institutional representatives from Munster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS), ENQA, UIIN, University of Ljubljana, and Spanish and Polish Chambers of Commerce.

The agenda was busy; Project Manager Prof. Robert Wagenaar started the first day of the meeting with introduction of the project aims, description of work packages (WPs), and milestones, that was followed by presentations from UIIN on the dissemination and promotion strategies accompanied by exchanges on project internal collaboration platforms, website, and the proposed logo, as part of the project corporate design. The meeting was finalized with discussions on the administrative and financial matters pertaining to the project, during a session led by Prof. Wagenaar. After conclusions, a small group of participants from RUG, Novatex, and UL stayed in for a short working session on WP3.

While the meeting ended for the day, conversations continued at a cozy dinner event organized by Prof. Wagenaar and Ingrid van der Meer.

The second day of the meeting was devoted to WP3, investigating and mapping work experience practices, presented by the MUAS team in detail. During the presentation, each part of the WP was reviewed by the participants, with comments on the structure of the interviews, national reports and other relevant tasks for revisions.

Overall, the event proved to be a success, considering the outputs produced by the partners during the two days. The working nature of the meeting not only helped build a common understanding among partners with the project activities, but also triggered further discussions on the methods to be used to reach the project objectives.

The next alliance meeting is agreed to take place in Ljubljana on 15-16 February 2018.
